Dubai Show Jumping Championship Returns to Emirates Equestrian Centre on January 26, 2017

Family Fun and Top Quality Competition on Offer at Three Day EventThe CSI3*-W Dubai Show Jumping Championship returns to Emirates Equestrian Centre on Thursday January 26, 2017 for a three day festival of high-quality competition and family fun.A regional highlight in the Arab League Show Jumping calendar, the event provides local riders with the opportunity to earn valuable qualification points for the Longines FEI World Cup of Showjumping.First held in 2007, the Championship has grown in popularity and stature, and is well supported by sponsors Emirates Airline as well as Official Watch and Timekeeper, Longines and Official Newspaper, Gulf News.Some of the star riders who will be competing this year are UAE Olympian, Sheikha Latifa Bint Juma Al Maktoum, Sheikh Ali Al Thani from Qatar as well as other local riders who have performed on the big stage include Dubai Show Jumping Team members, Arif Ahmed and Abdulla Al Marri. Al Marri is riding on a high, having recently booked a spot at the 2018 World Equestrian Games aboard his ten year old mare, Sama.Large crowds are expected to take advantage of the free family entertainment which includes pony rides, bouncy castles, a horse breed parade and dressage to music.Also on the entertainment agenda is a pony race staged by the Dubai Pony Club which is based at EEC, while the Dubai Police Band will be on hand to entertain spectators with live music.
